We don't walk into a room and really look at who is there. We walk into a room thinking about our own insecurities, what we're wearing, how fat I look....the list goes on. It's because we See things as WE are. All of us--are always thinking about the one and only--ME!
But then we do get glimpses of God's glory, love, peace and kindness through someone. Or through reading the psalms. We are reminded in psalms 77 that God is the God that performs miracles! Do we pray and trust God in WHO HE IS? Not in who we are? Can we get our own negative thoughts, feelings, emotions out of the way and look at Who God is? Can we try to see Him as He is? What a difference this would make.
When you feel down and out and forgetting who God is...psalm 77 reminds us God led the people out of the wilderness...and though his footprints were not seen...his mercy and plan IS seen. His faithfulness of the past is something to hold onto when the storms of today feel overwhelming.
