Psalm 58- How Bad Bad Is

You don't have to be a parent long to determine people are born sinful. We have to be taught and disciplined to exhibit good behavior. And as surely as all people are born bad there is a God who judges the whole earth. This psalm gives graphic and disturbing imagery of how bad bad is and how bad the bad's punishment is going to be. Verse 10 is particularly haunting to me. "The righteous will be glad when the are avenged" okay that sounds good, I want justice when wrong has been done to me. But it goes on to say that the "righteous will bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked" uh, gross. I don't want to wash my feet in the blood of my unsaved friends, family and neighbors. Serial killers and terrorists, maybe but the Lord counts us all wicked. This verse isn't presented in metaphor like earlier verses 6-8. Perhaps this won't be literal but either way it isn't good news for the wicked. Be sure to share the good news that Jesus saves with a loved one today!
Psalm 58 Questions -
1. How are we teaching our children the good news or just how to be good?
2. Will you ask God to put on your heart someone who is unsaved and give you opportunity to share your testimony with them?
