Psalm 56 - In God We Trust

There is a certain irony that the American coins have the phrase "In God We Trust" considering money itself has become the trust of so many Americans. We always want more of it, we work daily to earn or save it. We rely on it for needs, comforts, and pleasures but money is a means and should not be a source. The source we rely on for spiritual, emotional and physical needs os God. In Him alone should we trust. And since He is all-powerful, all-knowing and unfailingly loving we can trust him with all our needs and fear nothing else because we are secure in Him. Verse 13 reassures us we are even delivered from death, He keeps our feet from stumbling so we may walk before God in the light of life. Won't you trust him and turn your fears over to him today?
Psalm 56 Questions -
1. What are you afraid of? Circumstances, people, regrets, risk, failure, work, or something else? God is sovereign over all things.
2. Who are you afraid of? Those who know your secret, the doctor with health concerns, the neighbors that don't like you, politicians, the driver who is texting, the criminal that might get you someday, the friend who could hurt you. Trusting God will help you trust others.
3. What thank offering can you present today to show your gratitude for your salvation from sin and death?
